INRAE's Info&Sols unit is offering technical training on interrogating data in DoneSol format to produce a thematic map. For example, the thematic map produced during this training course will be a map of Useful Water Reserves based on a 1:250,000 soil map (Référentiel Régional Pédologique du Loiret).

This training course takes place over 2 consecutive days.

The training takes place at INRAE Orléans and each session is limited to 10 people.

These courses are free of charge.

Prerequisites :

Notions of SQL language and the use of a GIS

 

Programme :
Day 1: 10am-5pm

Introduction (10am-10.30am)

Presentation of the DoneSol structure (surface objects) (10.30am-11.30am)

Presentation of the variable of interest (RU) (11h30-12h)

  • Définition
  • The different calculation methods
  • Choice of TP method

12pm-1pm: lunch

Practical work on querying data in Access: data preparation (1pm-3pm)

Practical work on querying data in Access: calculating the RU per UTS (3.15pm-4.15pm)

Presentation of aggregation methods (4.15pm-5pm)

Day 2: 9am-12noon

TP Aggregation of results by UCS (9h-9h30)

GIS representation of results (9.30am-11.30am)

Conclusions (11h30-12h)
