Trace Elements Database

Capitalising on soil analyses carried out as part of spreading plans

By law, soil analyses must be carried out before wastewater treatment plant sludge is spread. The Trace Element Database programme aims to capitalise on these analysis results in a specific database for statistical analysis purposes. The vast majority of these analyses concern the surface horizons of cultivated soils.

These analyses are an interesting source of information, particularly for defining the natural soil-geochemical background of soils. They provide complementary information to the data from the IGCS and RMQS programmes.
