Earth Analysis Database

Capitalising on the results of soil analyses carried out for farmers

Farmers regularly carry out soil analyses, particularly to manage their fertilisation. These analyses are carried out by soil analysis laboratories approved by the French Ministry of Agriculture, thus guaranteeing the consistency of results between laboratories. The purpose of the Soil Analysis Database programme is to capitalise on these analysis results in a specific database for statistical analysis purposes. The vast majority of these analyses concern the surface horizons of cultivated soils.

Given the number and diversity of origin of these samples, these analyses are an interesting source of information that should not be overlooked, as they provide information that complements the data from the IGCS and RMQS programmes.
